INDIANAPOLIS – The third annual Alliance for Lupus Research “Walk with Us to Cure Lupus,” research fundraising walk, held Sept. 10 in the IUPUI Michael Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium, was a success, according to organizer Sanjay Shukla.

Shukla said that approximately 300 people participated in this year’s run.

“All together, with food sales, run fees and donations; because a lot of the participants donate more than their registration fees, we raised close to $38,000,” Shukla said.
He thanked everyone who participated and noted that the amount raised is right at the alliance team’s objective, to sustain and keep the fund replenished for the next year.

We raised enough money to get us well on our way to our group walking goal for September’s Walk with Us to Cure Lupus event!
